Christmas cookies for the win.

I decided that I wanted to make some classic sugar cookies in the shape of Christmas trees so I browsed around for a simple recipe with decent reviews. I also looked for a good icing recipe. This is what I found.

This recipe is beyond easy and super convenient. I happen to have all of these ingredients on hand at all times. The cookies turned out soft and delicious. Not too sweet and no dull chalky texture. If you’re looking for a simple sugar cookie recipe this is the one to go with.

This icing recipe is exactly what it says. The best and easiest. It is delicious and with only two ingredients I fell in love with it instantly. Highly recommended!


Citrus Salt for Roast turkey or chicken. Yum!

Mix together the zest of:
1 lemon
1 lime
1 orange
1 T fresh chopped or 1/2 T dried Rosemary. Easy on the Rosemary, she’s powerful!
Add sea salt to taste and rub onto bird before baking.
Chop up the leftover fruit and stuff into bird.
It’s good! Try it!

IMG_0463Marinated corn on the cob. Make a mixture of brown sugar,butter, garlic powder, rosemary, salt and pepper.

Peel husks down far enough to slather the mixture on, then pull them back up and tie with string.

For those of you who like to follow rules:
Recipe for four ears:
1/2 c packed brown sugar
1/2 c soft butter
1T garlic powder
1 tsp dried rosemary or 1 branch chopped, fresh rosemary
1 T sea salt
1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
